Who qualifies for webspace? Every Legend Internet customer with a dial-up account qualifies for free webspace. If you are not already a Legend member, you can join online using our Online Secure Order Form!
How do I get my webspace? You need to read the Acceptable Use Policy, agree to it, and fill in the application form.
How much webspace will I get? You will receive 20 Megabytes of webspace.
How will I find my pages? You can find your pages in the User Directory, or you can view them directly with the URL: http://www.legend.yorks.com/~username
How do I create my pages? To create your pages, you need to use an HTML editor. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide help or assistance with writing HTML, although there are a lot of magazines and books devoted to the subject, or have a look at the online guide to HTML!!
How do I upload my pages? To upload your pages, you need an FTP program. For help on FTPing your pages to our server, have a look at our FTP Support Area!
Can I run CGI scripts? No, unfortunately, you cannot run any CGI scripts on your web page, though you can use SSI's (Server Side Includes). We are unable to provide support for SSI though! We will provide each user with a java-applet web-counter when they sign up for their web-space.
Can I use the space for Commercial purposes? Yes, you can use your space for Commercial use.
